Thaddeus Heffner is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received his education and training from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee. He has broad training, education, and experience in working with individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Prior to licensing, Thaddeus Heffner completed his practicum at Restore Ministries of the YMCA in Nashville, Tennessee, working with families, individuals and groups. He currently works with several organizations that facilitate men’s retreats including New Adam and People Can Change.
For the last four years he has been associated with the Center for Relational Healing in Brentwood, Tennessee where he facilitates therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Thaddeus Heffner has specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)to work with those dealing with complex and simple trauma based issues.
Thaddeus Heffner has extensive experience working with individuals, spouses, and parents, of those presenting with unwanted same sex attraction; as well as working with unwanted same sex attracted individuals themselves.
As part of the Center for Relational Healing team, Thaddeus Heffner is a member of the Tennessee Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the Nashville Area Association of Christian Counselors, and the National Association Therapy for Homosexuality.
